Sound FX Automotive is looking for an experienced Automotive Window Tint Installer who takes their craft seriously.

We have the vehicles. We have the customers.
Now we need another talented installer to help keep up with the demand.

This is a position for someone who already knows how to tint vehicles professionally and wants to take their skills further. You’ll work on a wide variety of cars, trucks, SUVs, and specialty vehicles while being part of one of Delmarva’s largest automotive customization teams.

What You’ll Do

As an Automotive Window Tint Installer, you’ll be responsible for completing professional-quality window tint installations from start to finish. Your work will include:

Professionally tinting cars, trucks, SUVs, and other vehicles
Preparing glass and vehicles for installation
Using computer-cut patterns and a plotter
Hand cutting film and creating templates when necessary
Removing existing window film and adhesive
Selecting the proper installation techniques for different vehicles
Identifying and solving installation challenges
Inspecting finished work for contamination, edges, fit, and overall quality
Maintaining a clean and organized installation area
Properly caring for customer vehicles while they’re in the shop
Understanding the differences between window film products and their applications
Helping customers understand film options when needed
Working with the rest of the Sound FX team to keep projects on schedule

You’ll be trusted to manage your installations independently while maintaining the quality customers expect from Sound FX.

We Want a Tinter Who Cares About the Details

Anyone who has spent time tinting knows the difference between getting film onto glass and delivering a professional installation
. We’re looking for the second one.

You notice the contamination.

You know when something isn’t right—and you fix it before the vehicle leaves your bay.
You understand that speed matters, but quality comes first.

The right candidate should have:

At least 1 year of professional automotive window film installation experience
The ability to complete full vehicle tint installations independently
Experience with plotter-cut film
Experience hand cutting film when necessary
Knowledge of proper film removal techniques

An understanding of different automotive window film types and applications

Strong attention to detail

Excellent hand-eye coordination

Good problem-solving and decision-making skills

The ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A dependable work ethic

A positive, team-first attitude

The ability to work independently without constant supervision

A valid driver’s license
