Description

Join the KFI Team in Lincoln!

Are you energetic, creative, and love connecting with people? Looking for a job that’s more than just a job? KFI wants to hear from you!

We’re a Maine-based nonprofit on a mission: to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living full, independent lives in their communities. Our team is made up of dedicated, fun-loving, and compassionate individuals—and we’re growing!

At KFI, no two days are the same. If you’re someone with a great sense of humor, a strong work ethic, and a desire to make a real difference, we’d love to talk to you. Your ideas matter here—and your work will have an impact.

My name is Pam. I live in my own apartment in Mattawamkeag. I am a history buff with a phenomenal memory for dates and events. I love cowboy music and gospel, listening to stories, following current events, root beer, cookies, and fish sandwiches from McDonalds. I love spending time outdoors in nice weather: sunshine, visiting with neighbors, enjoying the flowers. Coffee hour in my community and church on Sunday are favorites, because I love being the hostess and sharing a meal with others.

I like to go for rides, go shopping, hear live music and attend plays.

A typical day involves helping me get up and get ready for the day. Then I like to be busy, as long as I get to watch the Price is Right and the news. We will go for rides, visit neighbors, do some shopping, run some errands, drink coffee and joke around. It is hard for me to speak clearly, but once you get to know me you will find I am an excellent conversationalist.

I love getting to know people and learning about things.
