As an Engineering Manager I at Stack Adapt, you will be directly involved in the development of our advertising platform, producing production level code that will have a direct impact on the success of our product. You will work with large data sets and have exposure to modern tech stacks around Ruby on Rails, React, Graph

We're seeking a technical Engineering Manager I to help lead our growing full-stack engineering team. The digital advertising industry is riddled with interesting challenges as we continue to scale out our platform with a fast growing list of customers.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead and mentor a team of 5+ talented engineers within full-stack platform engineering
  • Truly care about the team and product. Make a positive impact on the team's productivity and growth
  • Act as a hands-on manager and participate in project design and implementation within this team and other teams. Participate in project system design and implementation.
  • Plan roadmap, engineer resources and hiring
  • Promote software development best practices and conduct rigorous code reviews
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to ensure requirements and priorities align
  • Conduct interviews to attract and identify potential high-performing candidates
  • Balance and prioritize projects to maximize efficiency and ensure company objectives are achieved
What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Proven track record of delivering results and leading growing high-impact teams
  • At least 5 years experience in full-stack software development in web technologies and architecting scalable systems in a successful high‑growth technology company
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience, including essential people management experiences listed above
  • You have in-depth experience with Typescript, React and GraphQL
  • You have experience working with modern frontend libraries and frameworks (eg.
    Redux, Zustand, Jes
    t)
  • You have experience in modern full-stack frameworks (e.g. Django, Ruby on Rails)
  • Experience scaling a Ruby on Rails backend architecture is a plus
  • Experience in AWS is a plus
  • A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (we have not forgotten our basics!) - data structures, system design, cloud computing, full-stack development etc.
