Sr. Software Engineer – Angular​/Node.js​/MongoDB

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing software engineering team supporting digital products that improve the reliability, efficiency, and profitability of the airline. The Software Engineering domain focuses on the development, deployment, management, and maintenance of enterprise applications. This includes application development, requirements analysis, quality assurance, security, compliance, application lifecycle management, and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with Angular, Node.js,

and MongoDB, along with the ability to design scalable solutions, improve system reliability, mentor engineers, and lead technical implementations.

• Seven or more years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale software solutions in production environments.
• At least five years of hands‑on experience with the core technologies required for this position.
• Strong experience with Angular.
• Strong experience with Node.js.
• Strong experience with MongoDB.
• Experience working throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with software testing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support.
• Ability to design maintainable systems and translate complex technical requirements into practical implementations.

• Previous airline or transportation industry experience.
• Experience with application security, vulnerability remediation, observability, monitoring, and performance engineering.
• Experience designing reusable components, libraries, and services.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.

• Design, develop, test, document, and maintain software applications, scripts, and technical processes according to organizational standards.
• Build scalable and maintainable solutions using Angular, Node.js, MongoDB, and related technologies.
• Lead the implementation of significant capabilities within existing systems and design self‑contained services or components.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend actions to resolve domain‑level technical issues.
• Decompose complex technical designs into manageable solutions that can be implemented and maintained by other engineers.
• Improve the quality, reliability, resiliency, security, performance, and craftsmanship of products and systems.
• Define test suites, monitoring, and instrumentation to ensure production targets for latency, availability, and reliability are consistently met.
• Identify potential system vulnerabilities and attack surfaces, and guide the implementation of appropriate security controls.
• Anticipate potential issues in systems under development and promote observability, monitoring, and supportability.
• Lead the team in delivering small, valuable batches of work quickly and efficiently.
• Promote reuse of components, libraries, patterns, and technical solutions across implementations.
• Coach and mentor less experienced engineers on development practices, system design, testing, security, and performance.
• Identify opportunities to introduce improved tools, processes, and technical approaches.
• Support production troubleshooting, issue resolution, and continuous improvement activities.
