Field Tire Technician - Sandy

• Drive a company vehicle to job sites to inspect, repair and adjust tires on company vehicles.
• Safely remove and install tires on various rims.
• Check tire pressure and tread depth; plug or patch punctures as needed.
• Conduct routine checks and rotate or replace tires on vehicles as needed.
• Complete daily vehicle maintenance reports and logs.
• Keep the mobile service truck clean, organized and stocked with necessary tools and inventory.
• Communicates any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor or safety team in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless service.
• Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal proficiency level.
• Follow all safety policies and PPE use.

• Two years’ tire repair experience required.
• Current valid driver's license and clear driving record.
• Ability to identify/solve problems to ensure vehicles are safe to operate.

• Employee must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multi-task, good organizational skills
• Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety
• Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work will fluctuate based on company needs; evening and weekend work will be required to meet demands.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee up to and over 2/3 of time  employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Some equipment can be extremely heavy and will require a lot of strength to move or manipulate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to quickly respond appropriately to unexpected events.
