Minimum Starting Salary: $24.43 - $27.87 per hour – Full Salary Range: $24.43-$33.86 per hour
* Class A License, the starting rate of pay is $27.87 per hour
Shifts: Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with an occasional shift on some Saturdays.
This position will average less than 19 hours per week.
Status: Non-exempt
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- One-year Certification from a college or tech school in Heavy Equipment Operation or related field.
- 1-3 years of prior work-related experience
- Class A Driver’s License
- Successful completion of a background check

- Driving Truck
- Operation of heavy equipment including tractor/trailer semi-trucks, skid steers, front-end loaders and tractors to transport solid waste and leachate.
- Responsible for day-to-day inspection and routine repair of equipment. This includes oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, change flat tires and replace lights.
- Maintain roads, spraying weeds, placing riprap, cutting brush and trees and placing waste in proper disposal area.
- Assist the landfill manager in office functions and fill in for landfill operators when they are on vacation.
- Other duties as assigned.
