- Serve as PIC for special mission operations using modified King Air aircraft.
- Conduct single-pilot missions in the King Air B200 across a wide range of environments and, when qualified, perform King Air 350 single-pilot operations.
- Execute aerial firefighting (Air Attack) missions in line with customer requirements, FAA regulations, company procedures, flight manuals, and all regulatory guidance.
- Complete thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, mission briefings/debriefings, and all required documentation.
- Coordinate closely with technical operators and mission crews to ensure safe, efficient, and effective mission outcomes.
- Maintain operational readiness: support scheduling, fueling, functional check flights, and Safety Management System activities.
- Participate in recurrent training and checking to Part 135 standards; uphold exemplary airmanship, judgment, and technical proficiency.
- Foster professional relationships with customers, aviation stakeholders, and interagency partners.
- Certificates/Medical: FAA Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating; current FAA Second-Class Medical.
- Total Time: 3,000 hours total time; 1,200 hours PIC including at least 200 hours in King Air (category/class).
- Recent/Specific
Experience:
Minimum 25 hours in King Air B200/350 aircraft. - IFR/Night: 50 hours instrument flight time and 75 hours actual or simulated instrument experience; 200 hours night PIC.
- Cross-Country: 500 hours cross-country flight time.
- Additional: Valid driver’s license; ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs; willingness to travel extensively throughout the Continental U.S.
- Compliance: Successful completion of required training, checking events, background reviews, and drug testing; able to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Licenses noted: CPL, ATP (Unrestricted or Restricted) accepted.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- Extensive King Air B200 and/or B350 time; proficiency with Pro Line 21 and Fusion avionics.
- Aerial firefighting or Air Attack experience; current USDA/DOI Interagency Air Operations Card.
- 100 fixed-wing hours in the preceding 12 months; 10 hours in make/model in the preceding 12 months.
- Operational experience in fire containment, airborne intelligence/surveillance, or data-collection missions.
- Deploy on assignment across the U.S. to support active incidents and special missions.
- Operate in dynamic, all-weather environments with an unwavering focus on risk management and safety.
- Collaborate with interagency partners and mission crews to deliver precise, timely aerial support.
