CDL Delivery Driver - Columbus, Ohio

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and products to various locations in and out of state. This is a crucial role in our operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner.

• Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles into restaurants and grocery stores
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Down stack and sort pallets to ensure accurate delivery to customer
• Safely operate company vehicles, such as refrigerated truck.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries
• Use equipment such as pallet jacks, hand dolly or other tools to assist with loading and unloading
• Communicate effective with dispatchers, customers, and team members
• Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions
• Weekly overnight delivery trips are required
• Follow all JFC and DOT regulations.
• Collect payment from customers.
• Other related duties.

At least 2 years previous experience as a Delivery Driver, preferably in restaurant, grocery, or retail delivery.

• Familiarity with various delivery vehicles, such as box trucks and refrigerated truck
• Ability to operate equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
• Knowledge of route planning, navigation systems, and electronic logs.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English

• Ability to work independently and in team settings
• Must be able to prioritize and adjust to immediate workload requirements
• Class A CDL or Class B CDL with an acceptable driving record
• Lifting/carrying up to about 75 lbs (sacks of rice)
• Pushing/pulling over 80 - 100 lbs.
• Knowledge of DOT and CDL Regulations
• Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Strong attention to detail and highly accurate
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, weekends and holidays

$ 26 . 00 per hour
