CDL Truck Driver; Union; Commerce, California

Job Duties

Unload product from trailer, by hand or using hand cart/pallet jack, and place in designated customer storage areas. May include transporting product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions.

Move product and other materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles by hand and special equipment.

Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.

Sort product before loading and unloading.

Collect money (cash or checks) where required, and turn in all funds collected daily.

Pickup, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns, and complete necessary paperwork.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and JFC policies and procedures.

Move drums and boxes weighing up to 170 lbs. using a hand truck (may include going up ramps or stairs)

Complete Department of Transportation  (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports and reconcile with appropriate company representative as required.

Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to hand cart, pallets jacks, and personal protective equipment.

Other related duties.

1-2 years of previous experience preferred

Experience with operating machinery, including forklift, pallet jacket, etc. preferred

English language skills (speaking, reading, writing)

Class A CDL or Class B CDL with an acceptable driving record

Lifting/carrying up to about 50 lbs (sacks of rice)

Pushing/pulling over 80 - 100 lbs.

Knowledge of DOT and CDL Regulations

Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

Strong attention to detail and highly accurate

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, weekends and holidays

$27.53 - $33.69 per hour
