Position: School Counsellor with AVRCE
The Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education is hiring a School Counsellor, seeking a dedicated professional with a Master's in Counseling. This full-time role focuses on delivering a comprehensive guidance program for student success.

As a School Counsellor at AVRCE, you will play a pivotal role in the Comprehensive School Counselling Program. Ideal candidates must be licensed teachers with at least five years of educational experience, coupled with a graduate degree in counselling, including a relevant practicum. Your expertise will directly impact student well-being and academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead counseling sessions for students

• Develop and oversee guidance programs

• Engage with staff and families to address student issues

• Document all counselling interactions diligently

• Attend professional development and training sessions

Requirements:

• Minimum five years of teaching experience

• Master’s degree in Counselling from accredited university

• Valid teaching license in Nova Scotia

• Excellent communication skills
