Summer Engagement Facilitator

Make a difference this summer as a Youth Skills & Engagement Facilitator with The Portal in Kentville, Nova Scotia. Guide youth aged 16-24 through skill-building programs and community activities to foster personal growth.

In this summer role, you will support the planning and delivery of vital community programs aimed at youth engagement. Collaborate closely with young individuals, staff, and local partners to create inclusive opportunities that enhance life and employment skills. Your organizational and creative abilities will shine as you help facilitate events and build community connections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate workshops, certification events, and recreational activities

• Facilitate youth workshops, outings, and community events

• Build supportive relationships and encourage youth participation

• Document attendance and gather participant feedback

• Engage with community organizations and businesses

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled or recent graduate in a related field

• Experience working with youth in various settings

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License required

• Must complete necessary background checks
