In this relief role for the Department of Opportunities and Social Development, you will transport children, youth, and parents for access visits and appointments. Your work is pivotal in assisting Social Workers under the Child and Family Wellbeing Programs, impacting the lives of families positively. Collaborate in a diverse environment where your skills and compassion can shine.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety during transportation of children and youth
• Provide basic childcare during family access visits
• Document interactions and raise issues effectively
• Maintain communication with Social Workers and families
• Support various child access needs as requested
Requirements:
• Approved child & youth care diploma or 2 years relevant experience
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportation
• Ability to work under high-stress situations
• Effective communication in sensitive scenarios
• Flexibility in work hours to accommodate client needs
