In this position, you will deliver the Provincial Victim Services Program, advocating for victims' rights detailed in the Victim’s Rights and Services Act. Your responsibilities include liaising with justice personnel, offering court preparation, and helping victims access necessary counseling services. You will maintain sensitive case files and assist clients through the complexities of the criminal justice process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct support to victims of crime
• Liaise with police, Crown attorneys, and correctional services
• Assist in submitting Victim Impact Statements
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate client data
• Identify trends and advocate for service improvements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or related field
• Three years of relevant client service experience
• Knowledge of the criminal justice system
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to travel and manage sensitive situations
