Salary

$60,000 to 86,000 annually (To be negotiated), 40 to 50 hours per Week

  • A DRIVER WITH ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IS PAID $0.48 PER MILE
  • DRIVERS CAN EXPECT APPROXIMATELY 2,500 MILE PER WEEK

Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Professionalism in customer service
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive

    Class 1 or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Credentials/Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses

Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Defensive Driving Course, Driver's License (Class 1 or

A), Forklift Operator Certification, Professional Driver Improvement Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

Accident or incident reports, Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Trip reports
