Salary Range: $51,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The OpportunityWe are partnering with organizations in Kentwood that are seeking Bookkeepers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities- Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including vendor invoices and customer payments.
- Manage payroll processing, including timecard verification, tax calculations, and remittances.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts.
- Track and reconcile inventory valuations for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, preparing journal entries and financial reports.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns and other relevant government filings.
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including cost of goods sold and overhead expenses.
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, with specific knowledge of inventory costing, COGS, and fixed assets.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Sage) and experience with ERP systems common in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Net Suite).
- Demonstrated ability to perform month-end close processes, prepare financial statements, and manage general ledger accounts accurately.
- Familiarity with cost accounting principles, including inventory valuation, variance analysis, and job costing.
- Experience with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Epicor).
- Familiarity with cost accounting principles and inventory valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, Weighted Average).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on financial records.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
