Purpose:

Roskam Foods produces and packages food products with the goal of consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations for quality, safety, and wholesomeness.
** Key Essential Functions/Duties:
*** Discovers continuous improvement opportunities and takes the initiative to drive incremental changes in HR processes and systems. Acts as a change agent.
* Ensures employees at all levels are treated fairly in compliance with company, state and federal policies, regulations, and laws.
* Partners with leaders and HR management regarding compliance with all applicable state and federal employment regulations, Human Resources policies, and best practices.
* Supports leaders to achieve business unit and department goals.
* Partners with other members of the HR Team and Centers of Excellence teams as needed.
* Project team member and implementor for HR initiatives.
* Spends significant time in the production areas offering hands-on support.
* Partners with plant safety team to enforce safe policy and procedures.
* Executes human resource programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
* Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring to complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
* Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
