Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

$28 - $35 per hour | Kentwood, MI | On-site | Permanent

We're partnering with a food manufacturer in Grand Rapids that produces gluten-free snacks to hire an Industrial Maintenance Technician. This is a hands-on opportunity to support production, troubleshoot equipment, and help keep manufacturing operations running smoothly.

• Hands-on work troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment.
• Second shift schedule: 4:00 PM-2:00 AM.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production and packaging machinery.
• Diagnose problems involving motors, conveyors, bearings, belts, sensors, and related components.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and identify the causes of recurring issues.
• Assist with equipment installations, adjustments, and improvements.
• Document maintenance work and communicate repair needs.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and lockout/tagout procedures.

• Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience diagnosing electrical issues.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience with food processing or packaging equipment preferred.
• Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and VFDs is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize repairs and work independently during second shift.
• Availability to work 4:00 PM-2:00 AM.
