Senior Tool Designer

• 5 years minimum experience in metal stamping tool design, including progressive, transfer, and/or draw dies.
• Proficient in 3D AutoCAD and Solid Works.
• S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Solid Works.
• Knowledge of automation tool designs is a plus.
• Good organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Responsible for drawing changes and updates.
• Plan and perform engineering research, design development, or manufacturing engineering assignments.
• Coordinate with engineering, tool & die shop, and production floor.
• Design or redesign tools, jigs, dies, and fixtures for better efficiency.
• Maintain records of all tool, jig, die, and fixture changes using current engineering documentation practices.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all tool, jig, die, and fixture drawings.
• Prepare detailed drawings according to assignments.
• Organize and maintain drawing files in both physical and electronic formats.
• Distribute prints to departments and obtain signatures upon delivery.
• Interface with management, tool room, and production personnel.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in tool and die design and production.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts when applicable.
• Reissue updated drawings and secure signatures.
• Participate in in-house meetings and staff development exercises.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Travel as needed.
