Plant Controller

• Provide financial leadership and operational guidance at the plant level.
• Ensure effective and economical utilization of plant assets.
• Develop and maintain controls to safeguard company resources.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis to support sound business decisions.
• Partner closely with plant management to drive cost reduction, improve profitability, and maximize ROI while supporting operational goals and strategic plans.
• Perform audits to ensure security of all plant assets.
• Develop and monitor effectiveness of processes and procedures to maintain integrity of financial and related operating data.
• Prepare annual budgets, cost projections, monthly forecasts, and firm-ups.
• Prepare or supervise the preparation of periodic financial control reports such as payroll analysis, scrap accounting, etc., and coordinate physical inventories.
• Analyze reports for variance problems (e.g., scrap, productivity, spending).
• Establish inventory accounting controls and develop special reporting programs to correct problem situations.
• Perform reconciliation for fixed assets and capital in progress to the General Ledger.
• Assist in preparation/review of CAR financial justifications for plant capital projects.
• Track capital project spending, timing, and cost impact against plan, forecasts, and budget to report variances.
• Work with the project manager to ensure timely capitalization of equipment placed in use; assist/perform sample CAR post audits to verify savings.
• Coordinate periodic fixed asset physical inventory per company policies.
• Assist corporate and divisional systems personnel with implementation and reliability of plant IT systems.
• Analyze plant operating costs and recommend actions to increase profitability and long‑term ROI.
• Perform special studies and analyses at request of plant or division management (may require some travel).
• Supervise preparation and distribution of hourly payrolls, including maintaining records of earnings and deductions.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance, or BBA in Finance.
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; SAP experience preferred.
• HFM experience is a plus.
