Overview
We’re looking for a Clinical Laboratory Technician to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment at our clinic in Kernersville, NC. In this position you will help support Labcorp’s mission of “Improving Health, Improving Lives” by performing technical laboratory duties and ensuring quality patient care.
Work ScheduleMonday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm

- All employees working 20+ hours per week receive the above benefits. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan only.
- Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
- Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
- Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care
- Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as needed
- Assist with specimen processing when needed
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Associate’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or a non‑traditional degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
- Previous clinical laboratory testing experience preferred;
Minimum 3 months of clinical laboratory testing experience or a Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) degree - Phlebotomy skill required
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Computer‑savvy; familiarity with laboratory information systems a plus
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- Must pass a standardized color vision screen
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
