Nursing Home Facility Manager – STGi

Future opening dependent upon award of RFP.

Essential Functions
  • Assist in the development of a facility-based and community-based hazards vulnerability assessment as part of emergency preparedness planning.
  • Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings; review findings with the Administrator and the Risk Manager.
  • Participate in the annual facility assessment to ensure the available resources meet the needs of the resident population.
  • Ensure the safe and proper functioning of the environment and equipment necessary to care for the resident population in the facility.
  • Evaluate and document facility maintenance and equipment needs.
  • Provide facility access to state/federal inspectors and contractors as directed.
  • Evaluate work areas, examine tools and equipment and provide safety training to team members to prevent, detect and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and regulations.
  • Inspect, test and measure completed work to verify compliance with state/federal requirements and/or facility standards.
  • Provide daily supervision to the maintenance department; ensure efficient and effective operational maintenance of buildings and grounds through planning, scheduling and supervision of tasks.
Required Experience and Skills
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance/plant related position.
  • Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and other mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
Required Education
  • Engineering, construction or business‑related bachelor’s degree; experience in an institutional or correctional setting preferred.
Working Conditions /

Physical Requirements
  • Works in office areas and throughout the facility and its premises.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Interacts with residents, family members, personnel and visitors under all conditions.
  • Works beyond normal hours, on weekends/holidays when necessary; on call 24/7.
