RN Preop PACU - Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)

Join to apply for the RN Preop PACU Ambulatory Surgery Center role at Novant Health.

Schedule & Location
  • Schedule:

    PRN (per diem). Monday‑Friday, flex start times from 5:45 AM – 8:00 AM depending on surgery schedule, scheduled for 8‑hour shifts but may be required to stay late if a case is running over. Closed on weekends, no major holidays, and no call required.
  • Estimated department need is two days per week. Requires 1 Monday and 1 Friday per 6‑week time tract.

    Preop / PACU.
  • Location:

    Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), 1730 Kernersville Medical Parkway, Kernersville, North Carolina.
  • Unit information:
    Procedures range from ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, podiatry, urology and occasional pediatric patients.
  • Requirements:
    Candidate must have prior pre/post experience with adult population.
What You’ll Do

The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey.

The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi‑State/Compact required.
  • One‑year relevant experience preferred.
