ResponsibilitiesThe Patient Access Specialist Level I is primarily responsible for completing efficient and organized registration, admission, and insurance verification for all inpatients and outpatients. They determine patient financial responsibility, make appropriate financial arrangements per hospital policy, and maintain excellent customer service. They handle confidential information with sensitivity, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policy, and operate in a fast‑paced professional environment.
PreferredEducation
High‑school diploma or equivalent.

At least 6 months of previous customer service experience.
Preferred ExperienceAt least 6 months of prior customer service experience in an office or medical office setting.
