What You Will Do
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging under supervision of the Peterson Urgent Care management team, acquiring diagnostic images using ALARA techniques.
  • Support provider practice by assisting with direct patient care duties under close nursing supervision.
  • Perform diagnostic testing, maintain supply inventory levels, and clean/maintain medical equipment.
Required Education
  • LMRT or NCT classes
Preferred Education
  • Graduate of a medical assistant program or military MA program.
Required Skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, decision‑making and patient‑care skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning, techniques, radiation protection and safety.
  • Knowledge of radiographic physics and medical terminology.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of proper technique including intravenous starts.
  • Ability to administer medications and injections within scope of position within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to determine exposure factors for optimum radiographic images with minimal patient exposure.
  • Ability to examine images for evaluation of techniques and positions.
  • Skill in safe and efficient operation of imaging equipment.
  • Ability to develop and improve image acquisition techniques.
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification
  • NCT or LMRT, CPR
Required Experience
  • Entry‑level technologist
Preferred Experience
  • One year of experience
