OverviewThe US Oncology Network is looking for a Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Texas Oncology
. This full‑time position supports the Oncology Department at our 694 Hill Country Drive clinic in Kerrville, Texas. Typical work week:
Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This position can be level 1, 2 or Sr based on relevant experience.
ResponsibilitiesKey duties include:
- Greets patients and visitors promptly, courteously, and professionally. Checks in patients and informs clinical staff of arrivals.
- Provides and explains required paperwork, collects, proofs for completeness, and files patient forms; updates demographics and insurance details; collects co‑pays and provides receipt.
- Answer, screen, and route routine calls and messages; page clinic personnel as required, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
- Checks patients out after examination, schedules follow‑up appointments as per physician or office guidelines, and provides appointment details.
- Records cancellations and missed appointments, reschedules, and notifies staff, noting in the patient chart.
- Maintains general administrative support by filing charts, keeping the lobby neat, and ensuring supplies for daily activities.
- Adheres to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws regarding patient records.
- Performs additional duties as requested or assigned. May type memos and forms.
Ideal candidate background for each level:
- Level 1
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some receptionist or office experience preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
- Must complete required e‑learning courses within 90 days of occupying position.
- Level 2 (includes Level 1 requirements)
- At least 18 months of front‑office medical receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software required.
- Knowledge of the practice’s personnel, daily routines, and scheduling a plus.
- Level Sr (includes Level 1 and 2 requirements)
- At least 5 years of front‑office medical receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software required.
Employee regularly sits, uses hands for finger, handle, or feel. Occasional standing, walking, reaching. Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Requires vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
