American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a long-term care rehab setting requiring at least 1 year of PTA experience in LTC or SNF.
Requirements- Active PTA license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required
- New grads considered if Level II clinical experience (not Level I observation) is completed
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- One reference required for consideration
- Work in a Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility within the Physical Therapy department
- 13-week assignment with day shift schedule (8-hour shifts)
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Compact license accepted
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment under supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Administer manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
- Assess and communicate patient progress with supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans
- Document treatment and regulatory information in the electronic record system accurately
- Participate in care conferences, utilization reviews, and facility-required trainings
- Support and supervise PTA students under PT guidance
- Adhere to APTA and state practice standards and codes of conduct
- No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
