American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit position requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience.
Details- 16-bed Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
- 6:1 nurse to patient ratio
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:00)
- Meditech charting system experience required
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Acute Inpatient Rehab or Acute Rehab Hospital setting experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, central line care, and administration of blood and blood products
- Experience with cardiac care including angina, hypertension, and post cardiac/vascular surgery patients preferred
- Experience with neurological conditions including CVA, stroke, seizure disorders, and traumatic brain injury
- Experience with orthopedic care including total joint replacement and mobilization techniques preferred
- Experience with tracheostomy care/management and respiratory care including COVID preferred
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management preferred
- Experience with GI care including feeding tube and PEG tube management
- Experience with wound care, fall risk assessment, and infection prevention protocols
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in an acute rehabilitation setting, including medication administration, mobility assistance, and monitoring of recovery progress
- Must work 3 of the 5 winter holidays
- Facility housing available
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
- Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
