Warehouse Associate

Overview

Supports the day to day operations of the Branch by providing order and delivery services. Responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.

• Adheres to safety policies; this is a safety-sensitive position and requires awareness and safe work practices.
• Undergoes pre-employment drug testing in accordance with company policy (tests may screen for drugs as defined by HHS/SAMHSA).
• Undergoes background checks for convictions related to duties and responsibilities; only job-related convictions will be considered.

• High school diploma or GED with warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Able to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
• Must be able to read orders and match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
• Basic math and reasoning skills.
• Ability to obtain certification of power-truck equipment.
• Operate inventory control equipment, such as bar-coding equipment and handheld devices.
• Fluent in English;
  Spanish a plus.

• Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Able to withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment; substantial time spent standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing.
• May require climbing ladders for top-level selection; vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
