As the maestro of our nautical projects, you'll lead the construction of vessels designed to conquer the rugged waters of the Last Frontier. You will manage large-scale projects involving new ship construction and refurbishment, coordinating with marine engineers, naval architects, consultants, and contractors. Your role includes contract administration, regulatory compliance with Federal Highway Administration provisions, and financial management.

You will supervise staff, conduct detailed project analyses, prepare cost estimates, and ensure adherence to schedules. Additionally, you will liaise with federal, state, and local officials, present projects to community groups, and travel extensively to project sites to monitor progress and make critical decisions regarding project execution. Your expertise will support the development of the Marine Highways portion of the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) and the AMHS Obligation Plan to utilize Federal Participating Funds.
