Health & Safety Coordinator

Health & Safety Coordinator Leicestershire Full time or part time UK site travel £34,000-£40,000 depending on experience We are supporting a growing electrical contractor looking for an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to lead safety across its business and UK project sites. The role is available on either a full-time or part-time basis. Working closely with Directors, Project Managers, site teams and subcontractors, you will provide practical advice, strengthen existing processes and help build a positive safety culture.

This is a varied role combining site visits with office-based work. The role - Carry out site inspections, audits and health and safety reviews.

- Review RAMS, risk assessments, safe systems of work and Construction Phase Plans.

- Advise project teams on safe working practices and UK health and safety requirements.

- Monitor subcontractor compliance and support supply chain checks.

- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, and follow through on corrective actions.

- Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and training.

- Improve policies, procedures, reporting and record keeping.

- Support the implementation of ISO 45001 and maintain relevant accreditations. About the Health & Safety Coordinator You will have experience in a site-focused health and safety role within construction, engineering, electrical contracting, M&E or a related sector. You will be confident working independently, building relationships with project teams and challenging unsafe practices constructively. A NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification, good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Experience with CDM 2015, ISO 45001 or renewable energy projects would be an advantage.
