Senior Architectural Technologist

We are currently representing a well-established, award-winning architectural practice that is seeking a talented Senior Architectural Technologist to join their growing Kettering office. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an exciting period of growth following the recent expansion of a few other strategic offices.

This role would suit a Senior Architectural Technologist with 5+ years' experience within practice who is looking to take ownership of projects whilst remaining hands-on with project delivery. The successful Technologist will lead projects across all RIBA Stages, working closely with clients and consultants whilst producing high-quality technical information using Revit.

The practice works across a diverse range of sectors including Education, Commercial, Student Accommodation, Heritage and Cultural projects. Current projects include new schools, student accommodation developments, commercial-led mixed-use schemes and work within the museum sector. Project values are typically £10m+.

Senior Architectural Technologist Job Overview

Lead projects across all RIBA Stages from concept through to completion
Produce high-quality technical drawing packages, schedules and specifications using Revit
Coordinate project delivery, ensuring quality, programme and client expectations are met
Develop detailed construction information and technical detailing
Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, Building Control and local authorities
Coordinate internal design teams and external consultants throughout project delivery
Attend client meetings and site visits as required
Work across Education, Commercial, Student Accommodation, Heritage, Cultural and Residential projects
Take ownership of projects whilst remaining hands-on with technical production

Job Requirements

5+ years industry experience
Proven experience leading projects across all RIBA Stages
Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge
Excellent client-facing and communication skills
Good knowledge of Revit
Experience working on medium to large-scale projects, typically £10m+
Ability to manage projects independently whilst working collaboratively within a team
Experience across a variety of sectors such as Education, Commercial, Student Accommodation, Cultural, Heritage or Residential would be advantageous
Live within a commutable distance of Kettering Salary & Benefits
