Supply Learning Support Assistant - SEN Schools (Kettering & Surrounding Areas)

Tradewind Recruitment Kettering is seeking dedicated Supply Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support local SEN schools on an ad-hoc basis, providing essential cover during staff sickness, training days, and planned absences. This flexible position offers variety, professional growth, and the chance to positively impact pupils who benefit most from consistent, compassionate support.

We welcome applicants with experience supporting students with:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Physical disabilities, including mobility and personal care
• Complex medical needs and confidence following care plans
• Communication difficulties, including non-verbal pupils
• Social, emotional, and sensory needs

• Providing one-to-one or small group support to help pupils access learning
• Assisting with personal care, mobility, and medical routines
• Adapting activities to meet diverse learning styles and needs
• Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and school staff
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment

• Previous SEN experience with children or young people
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Ability to follow instructions while also using initiative
• Strong communication skills and genuine passion for supporting learners
• Reliability and flexibility, essential for supply work
• Willingness to complete safeguarding checks and training
