SEN Tutor - Kettering

Kettering, Northamptonshire

Flexible Hours (Part-Time / Full-Time Available)

£25-£30 per hour (depending on experience)

About the role

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to work with students in the Kettering area, providing personalised, high-quality support that makes a real difference.

Student needs
  • Autism (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
  • Learning difficulties (e.g., dyslexia)
  • Students out of mainstream education
Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet EHCP targets and individual learning styles.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students and families.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
  • Support students in building confidence, independence, and engagement with learning.
  • Sessions may take place in the home, school, or community setting, depending on the individual student's needs.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, or significant tutoring experience.
  • Experience working with SEN pupils in UK settings.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Reliable, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to travel within the Kettering area.
