Job Title:Teaching Assistant - Mainstream & SEN Schools

Pay Rate:£95.00 per day

Location:Kettering - Mainstream & Specialist SEND Schools

Hours:Full-Time Day-to-Day Supply Term Time Only

Smart Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils in both mainstream and specialist SEND schools in Kettering. The role focuses on helping learners with a variety of needs, from typical primary pupils to those with SEN and complex learning requirements, in a structured and inclusive environment.

Job Requirements:
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN and/or complex needs (essential)
• Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Child or Child/Adult DBS (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid passport
• Ability to provide 24 months of employer or academic references

Role Responsibilities:
• Support pupils in class, small groups, or 1:1 as required
• Assist with learning activities, behaviour support, and individual plans
• Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
• Support social, emotional, and academic development
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external specialists
• Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
