Salary & BenefitsSalary between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum based on experience and qualifications. 45 days annual leave plus bank holidays, teacher’s pension, retail and leisure discounts, professional development opportunities, access to college courses.

Salary and annual leave are for a qualified lecturer.
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

AboutThe Role
We are recruiting a Lecturer in Esports for our Esports department at the Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities- Teach, assess and verify student achievement across a range of programmes and levels.
- Plan and deliver curriculum, developing schemes of work and engaging learning resources; support curriculum development.
- Monitor learner progress, provide timely feedback, ensure compliance with awarding body standards and internal quality processes.
- Support students through guidance, behaviour management, and enrichment opportunities, including employer links and work experience.
- Maintain accurate records, contribute to team and college activities, uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD responsibilities.
- Degree in Esports or a related field with GCSE English and Maths; strong and current knowledge of industry developments and trends.
- Ability to deliver engaging, high‑quality learning experiences that support student success and skill development.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of the Esports sector; commitment to CPD and innovative teaching.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and teamwork skills; meet deadlines, build relationships and contribute positively within a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and college values; flexible to work across sites and support student success.
