Position Overview
Teacher of Design Technology and Art
Start date: September 2026
Closing date: 29th June 2026
Location: Kettering Science Academy
Salary: MPS/UPS
Hours per week: Part time, Permanent – 0.4 or 0.6 contract negotiable
Responsibilities- Deliver creative and inspiring lessons in Design Technology, continuing to raise teaching standards.
- Motivate students to achieve, succeed and exceed in their learning.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of Design Technology across all key stages.
- Support enrichment activities in conjunction with other staff.
- Organise regular opportunities for students within the academy and in the local community.
- Provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Maintain passion for subject and align with KSA values to help students become their best.
- Great passion for the subject with the ability to deliver innovative lessons.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher who inspires students.
- Experience teaching Design Technology across Key Stage 3, KS4 and/or vocational qualifications.
- Ability to engage children and young people with enthusiasm and energy.
- One wellbeing day a year plus annual leave.
