Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location:
Kettering
Salary:
Up to £50,000 per annum
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Holidays: 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays
About the RolePin Point Recruitment are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a manufacturing company based in Kettering.
You will be responsible for providing proactive and effective engineering support across the site, ensuring machinery uptime through planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and efficient repairs. This role will involve fault-finding, reactive maintenance, and continuous improvement projects to maximise production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Act as first-line support for electrical issues, ensuring machines are running safely and efficiently.
- Carry out planned, reactive, and ongoing maintenance across plant equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery, control panels, and associated equipment.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, prioritising repairs to minimise downtime.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, promoting a safe working environment.
- Support continuous improvement and preventative measures to optimise machine availability.
- Work with engineering teams and external contractors on repairs, parts, and maintenance schedules.
- Use Shire System software to update PPM schedules and repair records.
- Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC, or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable).
- Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley), inverters, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Experience in the printing industry with Goss Web, Heidelberg Sheetfed presses, guillotines, folders, and stitching lines is desirable.
- Up to £50,000 salary
- 26 days holiday plus bank holidays
