Infrastructure Gateway Ltd is looking for an experienced
Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team. You’ll provide proactive commercial and contractual support across civil engineering and utility projects, helping to maximise value, manage risk and maintain strong financial control from tender stage through to final account.
This is a great opportunity to work closely with project delivery teams, clients and the supply chain, playing a key role in the commercial success of our projects.
The Role:- Support project teams with cost control, forecasting, cash management and accurate commercial reporting
- Provide contract administration and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage change control including early warnings, compensation events and variations
- Lead and contribute to cost-to-complete reviews and budget management
- Procure and manage subcontractors, including interim valuations and final accounts
- Prepare and support claims and variation submissions with robust commercial records
- Produce accurate monthly commercial reports, including cashflow forecasts and provisions
- Support tendering and bids with pricing and commercial input when required
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams
- Promote best practice, governance, health & safety and continuous improvement
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar commercial role within civil engineering, construction, infrastructure or utilities
- Strong knowledge of cost control, forecasting and cost-to-complete processes
- Working knowledge of contract administration and change management (NEC/JCT desirable)
- Experience managing subcontractors and negotiating final accounts
- Confident producing commercial reports and maintaining accurate records
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good awareness of health, safety and wellbeing in a site-based environment
- HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction or equivalent experience
- Professional membership (or working towards) such as RICS, CICES or ICES is desirable
- Competent IT skills, including MS Excel and commercial systems
