One of the UK's leading construction and property consultancies in the UK is seeking an experienced and highly capable CDM Consultant to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects across the Midlands. The CDM Consultant RoleThe successful CDM Consultant will be involved in the full array of CDM duties across multiple projects, working closely with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure compliance and best practice across all stages. Duties- Provide CDM advisory services to clients and project teams from pre‑construction through to completion.
- Assist in the delivery of Principal Designer services in line with the CDM Regulations 2015.
- Review and advise on design risk management, ensuring hazards are identified, eliminated, and reduced where possible.
- Support the production and review of pre‑construction information (PCI), construction phase plans and relevant H&S documentation.
- Attend design team and client meetings, providing clear guidance on CDM compliance and project risk.
- Liaise with duty holders to ensure responsibilities are understood and discharged effectively.
- Undertake site visits and audits (where required), producing clear reports and tracking actions to close out.
- Assist with the preparation and compilation of Health & Safety Files on completion.
- A demonstrably successful track record in a CDM or H&S advisory position within a consultancy environment.
- The personality to work as part of a collaborative and proactive team.
- Ability to form relationships with clients and project teams.
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations 2015 and the Principal Designer role.
- Confident communicator, able to challenge where appropriate and influence outcomes.
- Organised and capable of managing multiple projects at once.
- Revel in taking responsibility and taking ownership of your own workload.
- £50,000 to £60,000 per annum (DOE)
