Job summary
The Financial Services team have a vacancy for an accounts payable assistant based at our site y's Hospital.
This role would be ideal for a candidate who has experience of customer service and accounts payable processes.
Main duties of the jobThis role involves inputting invoices and credit notes onto the ledger, reconciling statements, dealing with queries by phone or email, building relationships with suppliers and with budget managers within the organisation.
The successful candidate will be expected to work within a small team, to ensure that invoices are processed in line with the Better Payment Practice Code.

Person Specification Experience Essential- IT literate (Outlook, Excel & Word)
- Previous experience of using a finance system
- A basic understanding of Purchase Ledger/Payables concepts
- Previous experience of NHS Finance including COS VAT
- At least 4 GSCE's minimum Grade 4 (Previously Grade
C) including Maths and English
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic finance/book-keeping skills
- Demonstrate experience of customer service
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and manage varied workload
- Demonstrate experience of working in a finance role
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
- Ability to problem solve
