Biomedical Scientist Haematology

The closing date is 03 March 2026

Following internal promotion a vacancy has opened up for a band 5 HCPC registered biomedical scientist in the haematology and blood transfusion department at Kettering General Hospital. This role will enable the postholder to rotate through haematology, coagulation, and blood transfusion performing a wide range of investigations in a busy pathology department. Main

duties of the job

The post holder will be a HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist providing scientific services to patients as an aid to clinical diagnosis. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a wide range of complex analytical procedures, performing a range of manual, semi-automated and automated tests using scientific knowledge and experience to comment upon and validate results in line with ISO 15189:2022.
