Experienced Theatre RN/ODP Wanted - Maternity Cover
Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KGH) is looking for a confident, Theatre Practitioner, ODP with at least 2 years' experience in a fast‑paced theatre environment within an acute hospital setting. This is a maternity cover role, we need someone ready to step in with skill and confidence. Visa sponsorship is not available, please review UKVI guidance around temporary employment.
Join our dynamic theatre team offering a 24/7 elective and emergency service across a wide range of specialties: ENT, Maxillofacial, Trauma & Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Urology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Plastic Surgery, and Breast Surgery. Many of our ODPs are dual‑skilled, giving you the chance to work both an aesthetically and surgically. If you are experienced, confident, and ready for a new challenge, we want to hear from you.
Mainduties of the job
The post holder is expected to work closely with all disciplines to ensure the promotion of high standards for all patients requiring all aspects of peri‑operative care, following appropriate training encompassing a variety of specialities. The role of the nurse/operating department practitioner is to provide a holistic, high‑quality, patient‑focused, comprehensive, efficient and safe service for the patients cared for at Kettering General Hospital, acting with responsibility, accountability and integrity, reporting adverse events and poor practice to the person in charge.
The post holder would be expected to use resources and engage in change and service improvements effectively and responsibly. The post holder will always act in accordance with the NMC code/HCPC and local standards of care and policies.
