An opportunity has become available for a Warehouse Operations Data & Systems Specialist, reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager.
This role will work across our Warehouse and Repair Centre operations, using data and systems to improve reporting, productivity, planning and operational performance. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Systems and Business Integration team to ensure reporting and system improvements are accurate, controlled and aligned with the wider business.
What will you be doing? You will:- Extract, analyse and interpret operational data to support business decisions and continuous improvement
- Write and maintain SQL queries and data extracts
- Build and improve dashboards and reports using Power BI and other Microsoft tools
- Help operational teams understand trends, bottlenecks, productivity and service performance
- Support improvements to Warehouse and Repair Centre systems and processes
- Improve reporting automation, data quality and consistency
- Help develop practical KPIs and reporting tools for operational managers
- Work with the Systems and Business Integration team on system changes and improvement projects
We are looking for someone with strong analytical and problem solving skills who enjoys understanding how systems and processes work.
Ideally, you will have experience or knowledge of:- SQL and SQL Server technologies
- Power BI or similar data visualisation tools
- Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate
- Data analysis and process mapping
- Turning business requirements into practical, user friendly solutions
Experience with in warehouse, logistics, repairs or another operational environment would be an advantage, as would experience with ERP, WMS, stock or service management systems.
You do not necessarily need to know every system from day one. Although ideally there are some technical skills we need (above), we are particularly interested in people who have soem base skills in data, are logical, curious, detail focused and keen to develop their technical skills.
