  • Line manage and mentor colleagues within the website team, setting clear priorities and supporting high-quality delivery.
  • Oversee the council’s website and related digital platforms, helping to ensure they remain secure, reliable, compliant and operationally resilient.
  • Provide leadership and governance for web content so it is accurate, accessible, consistent, written in plain English and focused on user needs.
  • Improve information architecture, navigation and customer journeys so people can find and complete what they need to online.
  • Use website analytics, search insight, accessibility findings, customer feedback and user testing to identify opportunities and measure improvements.
  • Work proactively with services, providing expert advice, constructive challenge and practical support to improve their online content and processes.
  • Design, review and maintain accessible digital forms and transactions that support effective self-service.
  • Manage website requests, operational processes and competing priorities to provide a timely and consistent service.
