Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Facilities & Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities team of a well-established organisation based in Kettering.

This is a varied, hands-on position responsible for helping to ensure the organisation's sites are maintained in a safe, secure and efficient condition. The role covers general maintenance, facilities, site security and health and safety duties, making it an ideal opportunity for someone with a practical, hands-on approach.

• Carrying out general facilities, caretaking and maintenance duties
• Undertaking basic DIY, plumbing, painting and decorating
• Operating a FLT as required
• Completing toilet and facilities logs
• Opening and closing the site and maintaining site security
• Acting as a site key holder
• Responding to intruder and fire alarm call-outs
• Carrying out safety and maintenance checks on pool vehicles
• Conducting routine Health & Safety checks
• Supporting hospitality requirements when required
• Assisting with occasional heavy lifting and moving of equipment
• Working closely with colleagues across different departments to support the smooth running of the site

The role operates on a rotating three-week shift pattern:

• Week 1:
  Monday to Friday, 5:30am - 1:30pm
• Week 2:
  Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
• Week 3:
  Monday to Friday, 11:00am - 7:00pm

There is also an on-call requirement one week in three, with an additional allowance paid for this.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, caretaking, site services or a similar hands-on role
• A practical approach with basic DIY and maintenance skills
• A full UK driving licence
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A flexible and adaptable approach
• A positive 'can-do' attitude
• Good problem-solving skills
• The ability to build effective working relationships across different departments
• The willingness to undertake training and become a qualified First Aider
• The ability to undertake some manual handling and heavy lifting when required
