Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4pm, Friday 7:30am to 3:45pm.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Truss Operative to join our team at Harlow Timber Systems Kettering. The role of Truss Operative within the company is to ensure that all production truss profiles are complete and manufactured to the correct design sheets issued to the team. To ensure that all truss profiles are set out to the correct dimensions and configuration detailed on the engineer sheets.

To ensure that all Profiles are complete on time as required by the delivery schedule for that project.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all Profile trusses are complete correctly. Controlled and monitored with paperwork.
  • Weekly delivery dates are achieved as planned with the Production Manager and Supervisor.
  • To ensure that all Profiles are complete to the delivery schedule and requirements.
  • Involved in daily/weekly production meetings.
  • To ensure that Production Profiles meet the scheduling of work with production team.
  • Health & Safety requirements for the business are followed and adhered to.
  • The monitoring and maintenance of equipment with the Supervisor is maintained.
  • Ensure that the Production Team for each station has work and products set out to manufacture.
  • Be able to work on your own to a production schedule.
  • Work within the team – to meet the production Schedule.
  • Assist the team where required.
  • Any other Production duties required.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
