Quality Engineer - Manufacturing/Welding
Location:
Kettering Northamptonshire
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Are you an experienced Quality Engineer looking to join a well-established manufacturing business? This is a hands-on role where you'll support production quality, drive continuous improvement and ensure products meet the highest standards.
The Role
Working closely with Production and Engineering, you will:
- Support quality activities from incoming inspection through to final product release.
- Inspect fabricated and welded components against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Raise and manage non-conformances, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, inspection plans and quality documentation.
- Monitor quality KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues.
- Supervise and develop a small team of Quality Inspectors.
- Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and internal/external audits.
