Support Worker - Young People (Aged 16-18)

£13 to 14- per hour

Shift: 8:00am - 10:00pm + sleep-in until 8:00am

We are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to support young people aged 16‑18 in a supported accommodation setting in Kettering.

This role is ideal for confident, resilient individuals with experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour, self‑harm, and trauma. You must be comfortable working long shifts, sleep‑ins, and lone working.

• Provide emotional, behavioural, and practical support
• Manage and respond to challenging behaviour appropriately
• Support young people with a history of self‑harm and trauma
• Promote independence, structure, and daily routines
• Work one‑to‑one and independently during lone shifts
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Follow safeguarding procedures and care plans at all times

• Minimum 1 year's experience supporting young people or young adults
• Experience with challenging behaviour, self‑harm, and trauma
• Confident with lone working, long shifts, and sleep‑ins
• Strong communication skills and professional boundaries
• Good understanding of safeguarding and risk management

• Experience in residential or supported accommodation
• Relevant Health & Social Care qualification
• Knowledge of trauma‑informed care
