Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer located in Kettering, Ohio to support our EPASS GB contract. As part of the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES), the Depot Maintenance Systems Integration (DMSI) is six software applications integrated by a consolidated database. DMSI manages programmed and un‑programmed repair, upgrade, or modification of major weapon systems. It identifies materials for pre‑positioning and initiates cost‑control measures for material usage.

• Identify, describe, and apply emerging IT acquisition strategies, best practices, IT‑related performance measures and quality management in support of acquisition planning, information assurance/cybersecurity, test and evaluation processes, verification and validation processes, and/or, fielding and sustaining of IT/software systems;
• Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications;
• Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications;
• Prepare technical documentation which defines, specifies, and recommends system/subsystem characteristics;
• Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action using application of engineering principles;
• Perform validation of software systems including development of analyses/evaluation criteria and procedures, analyses/evaluation of results, and related recommendations;
• Provide Agile and Digital system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/initiatives including, but not limited to, acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight;
• Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with AF Systems Engineering Assessment Model (SEAM) processes; and,
• Perform all (system) engineering according to applicable DOD, AF, AFMC directives, instructions, and manuals, to include, but not be limited to, AFI 63‑101, AFMAN 63‑144, AFMCI 63‑1202, AFMAN 63‑128, AF/99‑103 - and their updates, successors (as happens over time).

• U.S. Citizenship
• Advanced Degree (MA/MS) or Doctorate from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 10 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or
• BA/BS Degree from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or
• 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoD.
• CompTIA Security+ CE
• Must possess and maintain a Tier 1/NACI clearance.
