Job SummaryThe MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI exams in a timely manner while maintaining an understanding of MRI safety protocols, including those related to research workflows. They interact positively with multiple patient populations and serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. Flexibility is essential, as the position may require on-call availability and holiday coverage. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsMinimum Education
- Graduate from an ARRT accredited MRI educational program OR Graduate from an ARMRIT accredited MRI education program
- Minimum work experience:
One year of MRI experience preferred. - ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT at hire (Preferred) OR ARRT in one of these Radiography (R)/Nuclear Medicine (N)/Radiation Therapy (T)/Sonography (S) required and get ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT within 24 months of hire date.
- Current BLS required.
- Proficient in operating an MRI scanner and adjusting imaging parameters.
- Well-versed in MRI safety and understands research workflow safety requirements.
- Patient positioning & comfort while ensuring patient safety.

- The ability to work independently and work well with team members.
- Capable of performing timely, quality MRI exams.
- Perform MRI examinations.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Administration of contrast media.
- Maintain MRI equipment and safety standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary health care team.
- Document and manage patient information.
- Research implantable devices for MRI compatibility.
- Adhere to compliance and regulatory standards.
- Assist with workflow and operational efficiency.
