Kettering Health Main Campus | Kettering | Full-Time | 12 Hour Shift Varying

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI exams in a timely manner while maintaining an understanding of MRI safety protocols, including those related to research workflows. They interact positively with multiple patient populations and serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. Flexibility is essential, as the position may require on-call availability and holiday coverage. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Graduate from an ARRT accredited MRI educational program OR Graduate from an ARMRIT accredited MRI education program

• Minimum work experience:
  One year of MRI experience preferred.
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT at hire (Preferred) OR ARRT in one of these Radiography (R)/Nuclear Medicine (N)/Radiation Therapy (T)/Sonography (S) required and get ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT within 24 months of hire date.
• Current BLS required.

• Proficient in operating an MRI scanner and adjusting imaging parameters.
• Well-versed in MRI safety and understands research workflow safety requirements.
• Patient positioning & comfort while ensuring patient safety.

• Capable of performing timely, quality MRI exams.

• Perform MRI examinations.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Administration of contrast media.
• Maintain MRI equipment and safety standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary health care team.
• Document and manage patient information.
• Research implantable devices for MRI compatibility.
• Adhere to compliance and regulatory standards.
• Assist with workflow and operational efficiency.
